Wl 989 Rc Rally Drift Car

THIS... is a brand new WLToys K989 Ford Rally car customized to reflect the factory Ford WRC racing team livery of 2011. This was essentially the first year for this body style Fiesta RS. This model of RC car is a great value for the money, and now you can own one that is very unique! I've gone through the car completely. Gear mesh is set, suspension is cleaned of plastic flash and lubed, diffs are beautifully loose and not binding after detailed cleanup. The WL K989 can be a great drift car as well. It is a great competitor to the more expensive Kyosho Mini Z line of cars. I'll offer this model complete as a RTR, OR I'll offer just the painted body that you can run on your own K989 chassis. All components are stock but optimized to work their best. The wheel/tire combo is custom but can easily be changed out with ones that will offer better performance if you desire. I have opted for a good mix of aesthetics and performance with this build. Car and transmitter come in the original packing, and I include the transmitter batteries as well. This car is LITERALLY, ready to run right out of the box...all gone through, all setup. The 2S Lipo is in storage mode at about half charge. The chassis work is complete, suspension works freely, diffs turn without dragging, gear lash properly set, motor runs SO much cooler now. I've run 4 test battery packs on it with 3/4 throttle drifting and the motor remains warm to the touch...unlike out of the box with just 5 minutes of run time the motor burns your finger to the touch. Body is stripped now, the stance is perfect with perfect offset on these scale type wheels with no clearance issues on the body. The front wheels and tires are slightly narrower than the rears. The look of the car is completely transformed from the stock narrow wheel/tire combo that was so set back from the body. work continues on the paint scheme...uploaded the new vid just to show progress. *additional WIP image...sponsor decals coming together.
