This is my personal Team Losi LXT Truck that I restored. I say restored and not built, because it's not all "new" parts. They are all in very good condition, but was built/rebuilt from all original vintage Team Losi parts. Please look closely because some of the parts will light scratches and scraps from being used. So please check the pictures...
So, some history, this started as a Team Losi LXT parts truck, and I found one of my old Team Losi Gen1 Slimline chassis that I used for the build. The chassis was only used a few times, and on-road, so it's pretty mild with scraps and scratches. In fact, I never even drilled the chassis for servo mounts. I stopped racing it before I got to that. When I found out a local track was doing a vintage racer class, I decided to build this LXT. The body was a bit of a joke initially, as I was going to do a box art version to be truly vintage. But body and truck turned out so well, I couldn't bring myself to race it. I finished it with a new gear cover, and wheel discs, and put it on a shelf. It quite literally has been there ever since.
The parts are all original LXT box setup parts (pre-XX Retrofit Transmission). Yes, this has the original LRM transmission. The only things that are different from the original box build are the front springs (I have orange instead of red), the upper shock positions (both front and rear are leaned in more than the box stock build), the super sliders in the rear, and the Team Losi Mini-Pin tires. When I decided to make this a shelf queen I wanted original Team Losi tires. Unfortunately, I never raced those 6-Row rears that came in the kit, so I found some mini-pins on eBay and put those on, instead. They are slightly used, but look great with some tire shine. The front tires and wheels were new, but also need some tire shine now too. The kit has the original black TEAM LOSI front bulkhead, the steel tie rods (that everyone would later replace), and even the original light gray color motor plate that was used on the LRM transmission. The later XX Retrofit transmissions had a darker color to them.
Also note, this was built as a Gen1 LXT. To be clear that means that the chassis does NOT have the recess on the tail section for the XX Retrofit transmission to fit. That means this an early production and pretty rare to be in this condition. The chassis also does not have the recess in the servo area for the large servo saver. That was later added in production, after the initial release of the LXT.
Lastly, the decals. I spent quite some time hunting down all of the decals to make this box art version. The original decal sheet in the LXT kit only had one of those big TEAM LOSI decals, so you'd need 2 sheets to make this. Plus it requires decals from the JRX Pro decal sheet for some of the Revolution Motor decals and a couple others. It's been so long I can't tell you where to find them all anymore. The only one mission is the #1 in the number area carrier. As mentioned this was originally for a vintage race, so I was going to get vintage track numbers and put there, and I didn't do it. Again the body turned out better than I thought, so I left it this way.
The Transmission spins freely and the ball differential was rebuilt with new balls and plates, and is also smooth.
I'm not in a rush to sell it, but thought it may be time for someone else to enjoy it instead of just being on my shelf.... Please ask any questions now, as all sales are final.
