Requires 1 9V and 8 AA batteries (not included), manufacturer recommends rechargeable nickel caladium batteries which allows you to them while in the battery compartment. This car can reach higher speeds than many other radio-controlled cars. These were hobby grade for their time. Recommended for ages 8 and up advanced driver.
