This ULTRA RARE Tyco 9.6V ASSASSIN RC truck is a must-have for any serious collector of vintage TYCO radio-controlled vehicles. Impossible to find. Not listed in online Tyco collector's databases. Only mentioned in a forum, where they speculate it was quickly discontinued because of the controversial name. I can only find three sold listings in Worthpoint, looking back over the last 20 years.
This example has its share of strengths and weaknesses:
STRENGTHS
1) Clean, original chassis, with no missing parts or damage other than some scrapes on the bumper and undercarriage.
2) Includes the original 9.6v battery (untested).
3) Ultra hard to find.
4) Suspension functions properly. Battery box is clean and free of corrosion. Front wheels spin freely. Rear wheels have normal resistance against motor.
WEAKNESSES
1) Broken spoiler fin and scrapes on fin, roof, front fenders, nose, and exposed engine.
2) Tires dented a bit due to sitting in the same spot for 30 years.
3) No controller or charger. Untested.
Overall an amazing find you may never see again. Shows great on a shelf. Don't miss out on the chance to own this piece of RC history.
