RADIO SHACK vtg Black Phantom off-road RC racing car 1980s Nikko Dictator buggy This is a previously-owned, black “Black Phantom” off-road, radio-controlled racing car manufactured by Radio Shack / Tandy in the 1980s (catalog #6040-88). Of note, this assembled model features the "Dictator" buggy chassis / frame (4WD / #10960) introduced by Nikko circa 1986. Powered by two (2) RC-380SH racing motors, this dual motor model was introduced in different countries at around the same time, with the same bodyshell, but with different decals. The remote controller will need cleaned up, as it shows a little alkaline leakage. And we’re throwing in a bonus Taiyo RC controller we had lying around – see picture!
