Back in the late 80s and early 90s, there were few toy grade RC trucks for kids as awesome as the TYCO 9.6V Turbo Bandit!  The commercial for those super cool pickups left any kid who watched it drooling in admiration and desire! However, even back then; toy grade plastic material was quite weak and brittle, and prone to breakage.  So, it wasn't long into the usage of the vehicle before some critical component would snap or crack, rendering it unusable. The TYCO 9.6V Turbo series of RC vehicles were super popular to us kids back then and they still are today as well as quite valuable too! This is an aftermarket, direct fit, replacement motor with a pre-installed high strength polycarbonate 8 tooth pinion gear. This is a direct fit part that will replace your original worn out motor that may have lost power or burnt out completely over the years for the 9.6V series of RC vehicles such as the 9.6V Bandit, Super Bandit/Eliminator, Hi-Jacker, Wild Thing, Heads Up Turbo Hopper, Blaster, FX-4, and possibly some other similar chassis models that I'm forgetting about too. (PINION NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 1ST OR 2ND GENERATION TURBO HOPPER BASED BUGGIES OR ANY OTHER MODELS THAT HAVE MORE OR LESS THAN A 8 TOOTH PINION ORIGINALLY) Special Note about this part: Installing this part does require some light soldering skills.  Also, after installing the new motor correctly, there will be a bit of an initial drivetrain stiffness and a "whining" sound at first as the new gear meshes with the old ones.  So, once installation is completed; make sure you have a fully charged up battery, then you'll need to hold the vehicle up with one hand, rear wheels completely off the ground and run it full throttle for about 1 minute, once in high gear, and then again for another minute in low gear to fully "break it in".  After that, it should now be operating normally without any extra noise or excess drivetrain friction and then you're good to go drive it at that point.
