I took the car apart and replaced the steering mechanism gear, which contracts over time and cracks, making it impossible to turn the wheels. All of these cars have this problem. I lubricated the steering gears.  The car does all its commands. See photos for item's condition. i dremeled off as much corrosion as i could from the battery contacts.
